2023 People’s Choice
My paintings are an EXPLORATION of what makes Northern Wisconsin and the UP UNIQUE using vibrant COLORS and LIGHT through different watercolor techniques.
I grew up in Spread Eagle, Wi and lived in Hancock, Mi most of my life. I graduated from Florence HS and went on to NMU but after a year I decided to join the AIR FORCE and became an Aerospace MECHANIC stationed in Spain and California. After the Air Force, I went to MTU to study MATHEMATICS and play volleyball. I became a teacher, mom, coach, and was always known as a CRAFTY/CREATIVE person but never decided to PURSUE anything until recently.
My dad passed away in 2020 and it was life CHANGING for me. I have WONDERFUL memories of hiking, biking, skiing, snowshoeing, and camping all over this area with my dad. Those ADVENTURES INSPIRED me to bring LIFE and color to them through watercolors and to continue to DISCOVER new places.
